Last spring break when I went to visit my grandparents in Houston, TX i got the chance to rummage through a few old boxes full of treasures. Specifically, a few old kodak slide boxes. My Great Grandpa on my mom’s dad’s side was an amateur photographer. As far I know, in the 1950’s, he use to try to document family get togethers, events and even just some own personal moments with an old Kodak brownie.
Out of a plethora of slides I picked out ten photos that I felt particularly drawn to and had them digitally scanned.
Scenes filled with colorful characters and rituals of the south, my grandpa, now Dr. John Bisagno, at a young age, and even a few shots of my mom when she was little.
I was so excited about finding these, I couldn’t wait to share them-but I had to! NOW! I’d love it if you take a peek into my family tree’s past with me.
