featured wedding: sandy + andrew [york/mccool junction, ne]

This day. I can’t even start to tell you how much of a thrill it was. One of the first weddings that I have experienced with not only not knowing the couple beforehand, but also working with an out of state pair of lovebirds. Andrew and Sandy are the tops. And, I can confidently say that I have new friends that I adore on the east coast now. It was a wedding that not only was fun to be a part of, but reminded me of why I do what I do. Meeting others and celebrating their amazing journey to where they are now, and looking forward to the future as well!

Also this particular couple I am able to recognize with dearly, as my love and I have a situation similar to theirs. They were long distance from a young age. Both are driven warm people. A day drenched in smiles and encouraging words everywhere. Sandy works in fashion and Andrew in the Air force so they both have an appreciation of things done right, but still such laid-back and fun people. Their day incorporated this with a classic look and home-town rustic touches that reflected their aesthetics and heritage. Beautiful geodes, goldens accents with purple and deep blue. Wooden chopsticks, korean food (mmmmmmm), as well as Sandy’s back bow being tied in the traditional Korean fashion. All at their local hometown church back in York, Ne.  The ceremony was conducted by Andrew’s brother and the reception held at Stone Creek, what was once a car garage but, now his family-owned venue turned into a wedding reception by the women of the family. Also, did you check out the grooms’ cake? What a flying masterpiece!

Another wedding where we felt like a part of the wedding party, and enjoyed every minute of it! Shawn Flanagan out of Omaha hung out with me that day to capture some extra moments and be a great help throughout the whole day. You should check out his work, the man is a master of epic light! Learning off of each other was another great aspect of this wedding collaboration.

A group effort, and a beautiful day!

From B personally, thank you for proving to me that not only are they’re amazing people out there to work with, but if you are genuine and follow your dreams, you won’t miss the opportunity to love and get to know people who want to work with you!

Excited to see you again on the east coast in the future!

xo,
B
